Our current series of business events in Dublin

Corn Flakes and Commerce: NCI’s Executive Breakfast Serial drew to a close today with Brian Lucey (who didn’t much approve when we described him as a rock star economist, but rock star economist/Trinity Professor/columnist/blogger/chowder aficionado would have taken too much time!).

Brian talked on ‘Ireland in 2013: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly’, and rest assured there was plenty to say about the latter two. Despite the grim subject matter, you rarely encounter a speaker this engaging, knowledgeable, passionate, humorous and, at times, more than a little angry. If you get a chance to hear Brian speak, GO! You’ll thank us later.

If you missed this morning but would like to find out more, the slides have been posted over on the Irish Business Blog. Our partners in this breakfast series, Metro Herald, will be covering it in tomorrow’s paper. You can catch the soundbites on Twitter via #cornflakesandcommerce (we’re @NCIRL) and to avoid ever missing an event as good as this one, sign up to our mailing list through the homepage at ncirl.ie (don't worry we'll never share your details or use them for anything nefarious, pinky swear!)

Oh, and don’t forget to check out Brian’s main blog, or follow him on Twitter. He’s good people.

Watch this space for details on our next event – if there’s anything you’d like us to consider, just leave a comment and let us know!
