Katie Grassick is in her final year of an honour's degree in Human Resource Management at NCI. Recently, she qualified as a finalist in the Miss Dublin competition, which could lead to Miss Ireland, which could lead to Miss World! “To tell the truth,” says Katie, “I’m enjoying each step in the competition as I take it, and already feel like I’ve gained so much from it that, while I’d love to progress, it’s as much about the whole experience as it is about winning.”

International student ambassador, Surya Kumar Govindan, will be graduating with a Master's in Cloud Computing from National College of Ireland in just a few short weeks. Students who started NCI courses during the pandemic undoubtedly missed a big part of college life. As a group of new third-level students, you haven’t been able to socialise freely with your classmates at our IFSC campus. Luckily, technology can be used to your advantage to help you connect online with classmates you meet during your two on-campus days in some fun and interesting ways.

While rugby is a demanding sport, Ireland Men’s Sevens player Ian Fitzpatrick set himself another challenge; to gain a qualification in cybersecurity from National College of Ireland.

Dr Anu Sahni from NCI's School of Computing recently hosted a webinar focusing on the area of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, giving participants a taste of what it would be like to study the Higher Diploma in Science in Computing specialising in AI/ML.

The Higher Diploma in Computing specialising in Blockchain offered through Springboard+ and the Human Capital Initiative (HCI) starts in January 2021. This one-year course is offered free of charge to those who are unemployed and at a reduced rate of 10% of the course fee to those who are currently in employment (the student contribution fee for this course is €540).
