National College of Ireland wins “Overall Excellence in Education” at the 2019 Education Awards

The National College of Ireland team recently celebrated winning the prestigious award for “Overall Excellence in Education” at the Education Awards 2019. Along with winning the main prize on the night, the college also scooped “Best Marketing/Communications Team” and the “Career Impact Strategy” award.

Fibonacci Day - a sequence to celebrate

The 23rd day of November is a special day for those among us that have a passion for number sequences. It has been named ‘Fibonacci Day’ after the 12th century mathematician Leonardo Pisano, a member of the Bonacci family. In particular, the naming of the day is due to the representation of the day in mm-dd calendar notation form, in this case 11-23, which represents the first four digits of the famed Fibonacci sequence.

At NCI we have a number of courses enrolling for this September that are available to those who are employed for just 10% of the normal course fee. The other 90% is funded by the Springboard+ initiative. These courses are all run part-time in the evening and weekend, and some are totally online.
